The Acorn BBC Master

The Master was the successor of the BBC B+, and was fully backward compatible, it is a 12k RAM machine built round the 65C02 processor an updated version of the 6502A as used in the BBC B. As you can see the master had a expanded keyboard with a numeric keypad, above this are two ROM slots allowing access without opening the case, all the I/O ports of the model  B are fitted on the master.

The machine came with an updated version of BBC BASIC (version 4)and DFS (Advanced Disk Filling System) as well as a built in word processor and spread sheet.

The master was released early in 1986 and came in several versions, varying in price from £499 to to the more expensive Master compact at £599,
