Hello and welcome to old computers, this site is a record of the collection of Vintage computers and associated items that I have managed to put together over the past few years. I started collecting  computers when I realized that they were being dumped at such an alarming rate, due to the speed of new developments. Fortunately as it turns out quite a few other people had the same idea, as I found out once I discovered the web.

It is still important to preserved our computing history, therefore I beg you not to throw out any old computing equipment including Books, Magazines, Cables or leads no matter how trivial they may seem even broken equipment could be restored and preserved.  No matter where you are in the world you will not be far from someone collecting and preserving these precious old machines. If you have anything that you would like to donate or trade please contact me at brian@oldcomputers.freeserve.co.uk Like all collectors I have a wish list, I am interested in virtually any computers pre the 90s but the machine I want most is the Sam Coupe.

If you have any items to donate or trade please drop me a line, or if you just wish to make a comment about my site or any old computers please don't hesitate to contact me brian@oldcomputers.freeserve.co.uk

I have edited all pictures to a scale of 1 pixel per MM to give some form of size perspective, I will also put a link on each page to the site I feel is the most relevant to the machine being viewed (when I know of one). Thank you for visiting my site, I hope you find something of interest.

Finally I would like to ask for your help in developing the site. Although I am fascinated by old computer,  I am no expert on the  machine's and their history. I obviously use the old books in the collection as reference material but I do depend heavily on other people's knowledge, if you can give any information please email me. brian@oldcomputers.freeserve.co.uk

Regards

Brian
