The Memotech MTX 512

This Computer was built to a very high standard, the machine is cased in aluminium, topped with a very high quality typewriter style keyboard.The inside is equally impressive and was designed for easy expansion, the manufacturers made available all the specifications to the purchaser.

The 512 apparently comes remarkably close to meeting the MSX specification, if it was not for using the TI76489 sound chip instead of the GI AY-3-8910 as used in MSX machines.

This machine came with built in BASIC,Assembler/Disassembler and NODDY.

The 512 was built round the Z80 processor at a clock speed of 4 Mhz with a 24k ROM and 64k of RAM that is expandable up to 512k there is also 16k of video RAM .   The display is capable of  24 lines of 40 characters 16 colours

The interface's included Cassette, TV, Composite Video and a Parallel port.
